Eligibility
Households are eligible if they are literally homeless, meaning they: Have no fixed, regular, or adequate place to sleep (for example, living in a car, tent, or outdoors), or Are staying in a shelter, transitional housing, or a hotel/motel paid for by a charity or government program, or Are leaving an institution (like jail or a hospital) after 90 days or less, and were homeless before entering. Households fleeing or trying to flee domestic violence are also eligible if they have no safe place to stay and lack the means or support to secure other housing.
