Responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of all emergency mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, including Homeland Security related activities for Douglas County.

Responsible for coordinating and leading efforts within the county to preserve the public peace, protect property and the rights of persons, prevent crime, and provide any reasonable assistance to our citizens within the scope of our authority and responsibility.
