Monetary benefits are paid to veterans with diseases or disabilities incurred or aggravated during active military service.   Benefits received are based upon the amount of disability caused by the injury or disease.
Providing organization
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Regional Office
Helps eligible veterans and their families obtain benefits. Offers assistance with home loans, education and training programs, employment assistance, guardianship and fiduciary services. Direct home loans are available for eligible Native American veterans. Operates a smoking cessation helpline to help veterans quit smoking.
