Family Caregiver Support Program offered by Pierce County Human Services Aging & Disability Resources

Located in the Soundview building. Entrance is on the D Street side of the property.
Eligibility
Unpaid family caregivers caring for seniors and adults with disabilities. Additional support may be available if the person receiving care is age 55 or older, enrolled in WA Apple Health (Medicaid), or needs help with activities such as bathing, walking, and taking medications.
Hours
M-F, 9am-4pm.

Connects unpaid caregivers with the resources that will help them continue at-home care and make it possible for care recipients to continue to remain in their familiar environment. Services include:
  • Care planning
  • Specialized adaptive medical equipment
  • Respite Care
  • Caregiver support groups and counseling
Case managers can make home visits review caregiving needs and to assist caregivers and care recipients with the most appropriate mix of supportive services.
