Supports newly diagnosed adult patients and parents of newly diagnosed children so they don't experience isolation due to their bleeding disorder.   Many recreational and social outings are organized throughout the year including an annual retreat for women in May, a men's retreat and a holiday party. Events promote socialization, networking and education among peers. Distributes a quarterly newsletter, provides educational materials such as books, videos and tapes about bleeding disorders, and offers a network for peer support.

Bleeding Disorder Foundation of Washington
Plans and implements a bleeding disorders summer camp for families. Also offers social programs, peer support group network and seminars. Works in conjunction with the Puget Sound Blood Center's Hemophilia program.
