Tyler Family Housing offered at Rescue Mission

Eligibility
Homeless family with at least one child. Low income eligibility requirements. Drug and Alcohol free campus. Applicant must be willing to participate in programming including case management, career guidance, and classes designed to move families from homelessness to self-sufficiency. At least one adult must have a past drug or alcohol addiction and must attend a weekly-recovery support group.

30% of family income goes towards rent.

Provides 2-4 bedroom townhomes (dispersed by family size). Clean and sober housing program for homeless families. Families enrolled in the program receive:
  • case management,
  • career coach and employment preparation, and
  • life management skills (such as parenting and budgeting classes), all within a healthy, family environment.
An excellent program for youth 6-17 years old provides positive role models, mentoring, homework help, and pro-social, fun activities for children of resident families. Preschool is offered to children age 2 and up.
