Enforces the Edgewood Municipal Code by
  • Investigating reported or observed violations of property maintenance, zoning, planning, special land uses, signage, and permit compliance
  • Educating property owners and occupants on code requirements and voluntary correction
  • Providing a warning and reasonable compliance period before formal action, where appropriate
  • Issuing Notices of Code Violation and pursuing enforcement when voluntary compliance is not achieved
  • Working cooperatively with Fire and Police Services on issues involving public safety
  • Promoting community awareness and collaboration to support safe living conditions
