Call-2-Haul offered at City of Tacoma

Provides a curbside bulk collection service available to Solid Waste Management residential customers living in a single family home or duplex. Available by appointment twice a year. Picks up large, unusable household items that are not part of the weekly garbage collection. Also provides an option for commercial pick-up for a nominal fee. A self-haul option is available to those who would rather drop off their load of garbage at the Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center. Accepted items (up to 3 large items):

• Appliances,
• Barbecues (no propane tanks),
• Carpet,
• Furniture,
• non-working electronics (except computers/monitors/TV's),
• power yard equipment (remove oil/gas, no riding mowers),
• recreation/exercise equipment,

OR up to 15 boxes and bags of smaller household items such as vacuum cleaners, strollers, lawn chairs, clothing and toys. Unaccepted items:

• vehicles or vehicle parts,
• building equipment (concrete, sheet rock, insulation)
• glass or glass-top tables,
• hazardous materials/waste,
• liquids,
• tires or yard waste.
