Basic Skills, High School Completion/GED offered at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom

Eligibility
New students need to attend an orientation and be scheduled for state required evaluation. Students are then enrolled in classes based on their skills assessment results. Students who are younger than 19 yrs old, who have not yet graduated from high school, must submit a release from the school district in which they reside.

Offers classes for persons who need assistance with Math, English, and Reading related to Adult Basic Education for job readiness and job advancement. Perfect for students who need some refresher courses before enrolling in college classes, taking the official GED test, or who simply want to improve their basic skills. Courses include social studies, writing, mathematics, reading, history and science. Classes meet for 5-12 hours per week and are available mornings, afternoons or evenings.
