Disability Services - Individual Supported Employment offered at Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region - Milgard Work Opportunity Center

Office is located between Yakima and Tacoma Avenue South. Three Pierce Transit lines serve the area: 3, 26, 45.   Location serves as the Tacoma job training center and Goodwill's regional corporate offices.
Eligibility
All employers can ask about working with the program.  Individuals must:
  • have a documented disability,
  • be referred by either Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) or Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA),
  • must be 18 years or older.
Hours
General Office Hours: M-F, 9am-4:30pm

  • Developmental Disabilities
Provides a personnel service that matches qualified workers who have developmental disabilities with the labor needs of businesses large and small. Career Consultants with Goodwill assist in the placement, training and supervision of employees at no cost to the employer. Goal of the program is to ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities and to assist them in overcoming barriers to employment so that they can obtain competitive wage jobs.
