Transportation Services offered at Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center
Provides transportation vouchers for low-income households which may include ferry tickets, local taxi fare, and some care maintenance and repair services. Connects residents to specialized transportation options.
Medical Transportation: If you or your children are insured through Washington Apple Health, you can receive assistance with ferry and gas costs for necessary off-island medical appointments. Please contact our office for information about how to enroll in the Medical Transportation Program. San Juan County Transportation Voucher Program: This annual program offered through San Juan County can help low-income households with transportation needs including ferry tickets, local taxi fare and some car maintenance and repair services. If your total household income is under $25,000 you may qualify.

Taxi Scrip Program offered by King County Metro Transit's Accessible Services at Customer Service Office
Low-income King County residents ages 18 to 64 with a qualifying disability or low-income residents ages 65+ may buy scrip at a 50% discount to use for taxi rides.
Eligible low-income customers may buy scrip at a 50% discount to use for taxi rides.
Customers can buy up to eight $10 books of taxi scrip each month for $5 each.
Taxi scrip is currently accepted by A1 Taxi, Farwest and Yellow Cab.
If accepted, rider pays meter fare with scrip.
