KCLS offers homework assistance in several ways.    Study Zone: Volunteer tutors provide free homework help at KCLS libraries. Provides a supervised programs for students in K-8th that offer the opportunity to complete daily homework assignments, as well as participate is social and recreational activities. Includes the STEAM program, which gives students a safe and fun space to socialize and develops life skills on- and off-site. STEAM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Youth Programs provide a wide variety of services to low-income in-school (ages 14-21) and out-of-school (ages 16-24) youth to help them succeed in school and work. Provides a homework assistance program through structured after-school study halls for all grades. Offers one-on-one tutoring as needed for those in fifth grade and up as well as an organized tutoring program. Computer access and basic computer skills tutoring are available.

Provides academic support for Somali and Spanish speaking families and their elementary students at Kimball Elementary and Maple Elementary School. Twice a week, students receive academic support and literacy instruction from trained professionals and skilled volunteers.  Families of the students work with culturally-specific case managers to learn about the American school system and best practices for supporting their students.

Provides before and after school and summer programs to students who attend at the school site. Offers academic support and hands on learning. Collaborates with schools and community based partners to provide opportunities for students and families.

Provides an after-school drop-in center for teens. Activities at the center include indoor basketball, volleyball, badminton, dodgeball, indoor soccer, DJ multimedia, foosball, ping pong, video games, movies, martial arts classes and an art lab with painting, drawing, coloring and carving activities.  Also offers a computer lab with tutoring and homework help. Serves as a site for the YouthForce job training program.

The After School Program provides year-round enriching activities designed to support youth in their academic, social-emotional, and life skills development. Offers a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can thrive academically through personalized assistance, targeted literacy development, diverse enrichment activities, and access to technology. Beyond academics, the program promotes social-emotional well-being and life skills through a variety of recreational indoor and outdoor activities, including amateur sports teams such as basketball, flag football, and soccer. These team-based sports provide opportunities for youth to build teamwork, leadership, and resilience while staying active and engaged. Additionally, field trips and enrichment groups further support personal growth and foster a sense of community and belonging. During the summer, the Summer Splash program combats the "summer slide" by reinforcing literacy and math skills to help students maintain and improve their academic performance. Also partners with the Kent School District to provide free summer lunches for youth under 18 at all three program locations. The program operates at three King County Housing Authority sites. Each community recreation center features computer labs, activity rooms, teen spaces, and a variety of recreational and educational programming to create a well-rounded experience. Students also receive healthy snacks to stay energized and focused. The program focuses on key life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and resilience, while fostering both soft and durable skills. With the guidance of positive adult role models, youth are empowered to overcome challenges, build confidence, and succeed academically and personally.

Provides K-8th grade students with a safe and supportive environment to socialize and develop life skills. The program includes STEAM activities, social-emotional learning, hands-on education workshops, sports and recreation, leadership skill development, and monthly field trips.

Coordinates intervention services for elementary and middle school students in North Central Washington who are at risk of dropping out. Provides resource coordination, individual student support, and school-wide programming in partner schools. As of December 2022, Communities In School of North Central Washington has partnered with the following schools in North Central Washington: Orondo Elementary, Waterville (K-12), as well as 6 schools in the Moses Lake School District - Larson Heights Elementary, Longview Elementary, North Elementary, Park Orchard Elementary, Peninsula Elementary, and Endeavor Middle School.

Provides an after-school program for East African refugee and immigrant students living in the Greater Seattle area. Services include: -  Tutoring and homework help -  Youth-led interest groups for increase community involvement -  Parent advocacy to involve and educate families -  Outreach to schools -  Tracking of student progress and grades -  Ongoing support and mentorship to youth -  Special workshops and educational events   Also offers a summer program to keep students engaged in learning.
