Volunteer Services: provides basic in-home assistance to low-income elders and adults with disabilities to help them continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Only local rides; no work related transportation. Volunteers can provide services such as: local transportation for appointments and errands (no long distance), yard work, light housekeeping and laundry, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, wheelchair ramps (not an immediate service; if qualifications aren't met, might have to pay material out of pocket), and wood provision. Senior Companion Program: serves one-on one with the frail elderly and other homebound persons who have difficulty completing everyday tasks. Provides companionship as they assist with grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, and other tasks. Volunteers are individuals over 55 years of age with a limited income, they receive a small stipend for an average of 15-20 hours of service per week. Respite Adult Day Center in Yakima: gives frail or cognitively disabled adults the opportunity to make new friends and participate in a host of enjoyable activities in a safe and comfortable environment. A team of staff and volunteers are present to provide personalized support, encouragement and assistance to each participant. Provides some down-time to those who provide care to disabled individuals. The disabled individuals must have a memory loss situation (such as Alzheimer's, stroke, MS etc.) for the caregiver to be eligible for this program. This program works in conjunction with Aging and Long Term Care but is overseen by Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington.

Provides licensed non-medical personal care needed to remain independent and live safely in own home. Available 24 hours daily. Provides assistance with light housekeeping; laundry, ironing, and changing bed linens; shopping and errands; bathing, grooming & incontinence care; standing and walking; medication reminders; diet maintenance (meal planning, preparation & cleanup); transferring & positioning; use of hoyer or other lift devices; companionship and supervision; dressing; eating; recreational activities, walks & outings; arranging for & transportation to local appointments to doctor visits, pharmacies, hairdressers/barbers, or for visits with friends. Also provides nurse delegated care, family care, respite for family caregivers so they can have time to take care of other responsibilities or take time for themselves, supportive care for developmentally disabled individuals, and Alzheimer and related dementia care.

Offers cost-effective in-home care services as an alternative to facility-based nursing, enabling them to maintain their independence in their own homes. In-home care services provide consumers on-going assistance with activities of daily living, which may include services like: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, housekeeping, errands/transportation, and medication reminders. These supportive services can be arranged for any frequency of time, from one to twenty-four hours of care daily, or on a respite or temporary basis. Addus works with clients, their families and other relevant health care providers to customize care plans, designed to keep individuals safe, healthy and independent at home. These services are funded through a variety of sources, including: Medicaid waiver programs, long-term care insurance, veterans benefits, private pay, and other location-specific social service programs.

Provides case management for adults and assists with enrollment into Community First Choice, which offers in-home care, assistance with essential household tasks, adult family home care, assisted living, and congregate care. This is for adults who would require Medicaid services in a nursing facility. Services include the following: - In-home Personal Care: Provides assistance with activities, such as: housework, laundry, meal preparation, eating, shopping, bathing, dressing, transfer assistance, ambulation, self-medication, transportation and escort, and skin, hair and nail care. - Health Care Services: Care is provided by licensed health care professionals. Medical care must be prescribed by a physician. - Personal Emergency Response System: Offers emergency help to assist seniors and others with remaining independent in their own homes.
