Nurse-Family Partnership offered by Chelan-Douglas Health District
Provides home visits to first time parenting moms and their families throughout pregnancy and until the child is two years of age.
Nurse Family Partnership is a free evidence-based community health program that provides home visits to first time parenting moms and their families throughout pregnancy and until the child is two years of age. Nurses work to support families in several different domains: nurse home visitors teach about the mother’s personal health and environmental health, nurses guide new mothers in developing healthy and successful parenting skills while promoting social, emotional, and physical development, nurses mentor clients in establishing and meeting their school and career goals, nurses support clients in building a healthy support network, and nurses make referrals as needed to community agencies.

Parenting Support Services offered by Care Net Pregnancy & Family Services of Puget Sound in Federal Way
Offers parenting classes for new and expectant parents. Participants earn vouchers they can spend at a baby boutique for items like diapers, formula, clothing, cribs and car seats. Separate mentoring available for mothers and fathers.

Parenting Through Divorce and Beyond offered at Olympic College
Offers court approved mandatory parenting classes to parents in the process of filing for divorce or legal separation. Includes a four hour seminar on separation, custody, child development, communication skills, positive parenting skills.
This four hour seminar will focus on children’s needs during their parent’s separation, custody issues and/or divorce. Parents will learn about the developmental stages of children, communication skills, the impact of divorce on children and positive parenting skills. This seminar is approved by the Kitsap County Superior Court and intended for parents involved in divorce, legal separation, or paternity actions. Upon completion, you will be given a Certificate of Completion to be filed with the Court.

Infants get a healthy start with prenatal and well-baby care. Moms (age 16-19) get vital parenting training, gather essential skills for living successfully on their own and are empowered to continue their progress in treatment, education and employment.
Alexandria’s House is a transitional living facility for pregnant and parenting teenagers and their babies. The home has five furnished bedrooms, three bathrooms as well as shared kitchen, living and laundry facilities. Alexandria’s House offers comprehensive case management and 24-hour staff supervision and is licensed by the state of Washington.
