Provides outreach and case management services for people with substance use disorders (SUD) in need of a connection with peers who have similar experiences and can meet clients where they're at to provide hope for a better life. All Recovery Outreach Specialists are trained Recovery Coaches and Certified Peer Counselors in long term recovery from SUD and/or have lived similar experiences, i.e., homelessness, incarceration, involvement with Department of Corrections or law enforcement, or close connection to SUD during their life. The program is 100% voluntary--no one is forced to participate and everyone is welcome. Staff make referrals to local resources and organizations to meet the individual needs of clients. May refer clients to SUD treatment for behavioral health services, but does not provide these services in house.

Links individuals with Care Coordinators that work one-on-one with clients to bridge gaps in services, achieve goals, reduce gaps in services, and increase coordination between all types of service providers.

Offers a confidential space to talk about pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption. Peer Counselors offer judgment-free support at any point before, during, and after pregnancy, regardless of which options the caller is considering.

Provides confidential support to empower clients through respect, resources, and relationships. Works with clients by providing holistic resources, aftercare, information and referrals for financial aid, educational and GED assistance, counseling, trauma support, and connects clients with local medical services, legal aid, rehabilitation, safe housing, and more.

Provides ready prepared meals to-go, clothing, and specialized information and referral to outside resources.

Provides advocates who can offer support and child rearing guidance. Also offers developmental screenings, play and learn groups, family fun nights, and information and referral to outside resources. May also provide diapers on an emergency basis.

Bereavement Support:  Support groups are open to the public. Participants share experiences and feelings and learn coping skills.  Groups are offered in various locations throughout the service area.  Information and Assistance:  Limited telephone support is available to anyone who has experienced a loss due to death.  Referrals to community resources and written material can be mailed at no charge.

Provides support, information, and resources to individuals and families in order to keep children safe from sexual abuse. Offers a confidential helpline and online information and resources on subjects such as safe touching and relationships with adults, how to recognize child sex abuse, where to get help if an individual feels that they may sexually abuse a child, and information about healing and recovery from sexual abuse.

File claims on behalf of veterans (all conflicts and eras) with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and see them through until resolution; A resource and referral point to veterans and their families for housing and other social services; Provide a link between veterans and the VA Medical Centers for appointments, information and transportation; A source for acquiring your military records, awards and decorations; A community advocate for veterans and primary administrator of the Whatcom County Veterans Assistance Fund since 1990; Liaison between the veteran and the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs; Provide free Whatcom Transit Authority bus passes and tokens for veterans and their families in need; Provide scholarships for veterans through Bellingham Technical College Foundation.

Provides general information and assistance to seniors in Klickitat County. Information provided could be van schedules, what's for dinner at the Senior Center, how to find information about Medicare or Social Security, how to apply for food stamps or the P.U.D. discount, etc.; if the information is unknown, seniors will be pointed in the right direction. Assistance could include making a call or an appointment, helping figure out insurance billings, fill out application for benefits, or accompany seniors to an eligibility review or fair hearing of another agency. Information and Assistance is available to all senior citizens (over 60) regardless of income.

Assists homeless veterans and their families with emergency, transitional, and permanent housing; as well as employment search assistance, applying for veteran benefits, and referrals to other agencies.

The Kinship Navigator provides advocacy, information and referral services to those who are raising their relatives' children either temporarily or long term. The Navigator provides information about how to access and apply for services as well as problem solve and advocate for kinship families when or if issues arise. These services are provided to assist kinship caregivers, who are over the age of 18, with understanding and navigating community services for children living with relatives while reducing barriers faced by kinship caregivers when accessing services. Some of the services that the Kinship Navigator can provide include, but are not limited to, advocacy and referral, support groups, parent education, child care, legal guidance, housing assistance, financial support and medical, dental and mental health resources.

Plans and coordinates local mental health programs; provides information/referral for the public; administers federal, state, and county funds, and contracts with  community-based agencies to provide most services.  

This weekly group offers support, socialization, information and assistance, recreation opportunities and lunch for Korean seniors. Activities include English as a second language class, Citizenship class, Korean chess, checkers, dancing, singing, and current events. Transportation is available. The Korean Outreach Worker with Homage's Aging and Disability Resources department is available to meet with individuals needing assistance at the group meetings every Monday and Thursday.
