Legal Services offered at Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle
Provides naturalization and visa assistance to low-income refugees and immigrants. Petitions under the Violence Against Women Act and other immigration applications, including naturalization. Offers limited help with asylum.
Provides legal representation and community education to low-income refugees and immigrants in Washington state.

- For Afghan immigrants, we assist with OAW Asylee Adjustments

Operates a legal clinic where a free 30-minute legal consultation is available for individuals with cases in King County who are not already represented by an attorney. Focus is on serving African American clients but clinic is open to all.

Clinic is open to all, but particular focus is on providing culturally-informed legal services in a safe and welcoming environment to individuals who identify as African American or Black. This clinic is staffed primarily by attorneys of color.
Clinic attorneys can:
- Determine whether the client has a legal problem
- Suggest possible options
- Help answer papers, summons and requests
- Provide appropriate referrals
Neighborhood Legal Clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately.

Hosts a free monthly legal clinic with a focus on LGBTQ issues; provides information in a variety of areas including family law, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.
Hosts a legal clinic specifically designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and couples. This clinic is run by QLaw Foundation in partnership with the King County Bar Association.
The clinic is open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
At the clinic, an attorney will meet with clients for 30 minutes and provide individualized legal advice and information.

Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic.
Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Family Justice Center offered at Family Support Center of South Sound
Provides services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Able to provide assistance through the partnership of community advocacy, law enforcement, prosecution, civil legal services and protection orders.
Family Justice Center provides services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. In addition to our confidential advocates, this program works collaboratively with our partners. Survivors have complete control over who they meet with and who their information is shared with. Our partners include: Thurston County Clerk's Office, Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Thurston County Sheriff's Office, and other organizations.
Clients have access to an array of services, including:
- Safety planning
- Basic need items
- Crisis support
- Shelter & housing search and placement
- Support in filing of police reports if requested
- Explanation and assistance filing civil protection orders, as well as court accompaniment
- Culturally competent services in a multitude of languages
- Connection to resources for outside needs
- Other services based on clients’ needs

Support Services offered at Genesis Project
Provides a day center for women and girls of any age who are involved with commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking but are transitioning out. Offers food, clothing, laundry, hygiene items and showers, as well as overnight stays.
Provides a safe haven for women and girls of any age who have been involved in commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Confidential day center provides food, clothing, laundry, hygiene items and showers, as well as the possibility of an overnight stay.
Center also offers support such as free counseling and therapy, mentoring, support groups, transportation to medical appointments and court dates, life skill classes, GED prep classes, case management and referrals to other resources. Offers internships for learning job skills in administrative work, retail and coffee making. Also provides job referrals through partner organizations.
Virtual appointments may be made with an attorney to assist with parenting plans, criminal record expungement or immigration assistance.

Human Trafficking Advocacy offered at Support, Advocacy & Resource Center
Provides a full-range of services for survivors of sex trafficking including financial assistance, medical assistance, basic needs including food vouchers, shelter, motel vouchers and legal advocacy.
Provides a full range of services for survivors of sex trafficking.
Services include:
- Financial Resources: funds for immediate health and safety needs and assistance with relocation are available
- Access to Basic Needs: gift cards (Target, Walmart, Albertsons), fast food gift cards, food vouchers, and more to make sure that client's needs are met
- Medical Advocacy: explaining client rights regarding medical exam, providing support during exam, assisting with connecting survivor to aftercare such as pregnancy and/or STD concerns, helping survivor complete Crime Victims Compensation (CVC), follow up with CVC and advocate on client’s behalf, connect client to other medical resources as needed for client, such as dental care or past unhealed injuries
- Assistance In Filing Police Report
- Immediate Shelter: contract with local hotel to pay for short term stay for immediate safety concerns
