Provides education, information, and referral on housing issues, along with financial assistance for homebuyers and homeowners. Services include homebuyer education classes and workshops, financial education, pre- and post-purchase counseling, foreclosure counseling, down payment assistance, renter information, and guidance on maintaining and repairing a home, including home repair loans. Classes are held monthly at Columbia Gorge Community College in Hood River and The Dalles. The program also keeps the public informed about housing trends in the Mid-Columbia region using current statistics.
